Progress: Painting #6

Professor Phillips has stacks of cut plywood that's been sitting in his office for years. Guess who's been working on wood and now has a free supply of boards (huzzah!).

Something Professor Peacock pointed out to me when painting on wood, if you don't like it... BELT SANDER!

Progress: Painting #3 (after 4 hrs)

This is a big painting, also heavy, last time I'm using 3/4 inch plywood this size. The plywood has a nice tooth to it and also has manufacturer stamps (picture to come later).

For those of you keeping track chronologically, #2 has been placed in time out until it starts looking a little more presentable.

Outcome: Painting #1

My studio space is a little awkward, well... it's a hallway, but it's mine. I can leave my work up, and paint during other teacher's class times, which means I get a vary wide range of feedback. My work has apparently also won the eye of the newest painting teacher, a local artist with ties to many local galleries (!!!), with whom the department head said I should speak.

So... new semester, new site, new space, new paintings. Let's here some feedback people.

Progress: Independent Study Painting I

New semester begets new paintings (in my own studio no less).
