This Semester at a Glance... So Far

In the 6 weeks since school has started, these are the 5 paintings I've made (6 if you count the one on the back of another, which might be finished and the piece hung so that you can walk all the way around it, maybe). I see these together whenever I'm working, so I thought it might be nice for you to see the cohesive collection that's building. This also gives a sense of scale, aka, just how big the large painting is (it won't fit in my car). Love to hear what you think.

Outcome: Painting 4

I met the new Painting 1 teacher, Max, whose been admiring my work. He asked if I've shown my work to anyone, to which I said "Duuhur?, " because it's not something I've put all that much thought into. I don't give myself that much credit. He said that people 'outside of this school' would be interested to see what I'm working on. (!!!) (let's not forget to mention that he's adorable)

Progress: Painting #6

Professor Phillips has stacks of cut plywood that's been sitting in his office for years. Guess who's been working on wood and now has a free supply of boards (huzzah!).

Outcome: Painting 5

Progress: Painting #3 (after 5 and 6 hrs)

Something Professor Peacock pointed out to me when painting on wood, if you don't like it... BELT SANDER!
